Art Swap 50/50 - A Fun Fundraiser
You still have time to bring in items for this fun event - we will accept items through this Wednesday. Also, we altered the structure so that everything will have a minimum bid of $5, $10, or $25 (as determined by you and CAE together).
We have already received paintings, ceramics, prints, and some very high quality frames that will be very popular with artists!
We are accepting submissions of handmade crafts, wall art, art supplies, and other handmade art items (no furniture or antiques) to be sold in a silent auction. All proceeds will be split 50% to you and 50% to CAE - eveyone wins!
Participation Fee: $10 for up to 5 items (multiple smaller items and art supplies can be grouped as one or as a "lot") + 50% on all sales
January 6th - 11th: Delivery of items and paperwork. Hours: Friday & Saturday 12-4pm and Monday-Wednesday 10am-4pm.
January 13th - 20th: Items on display and open for bidding
January 20th, 5-8pm: Swap Night - everything must go! Join us for refreshments, music, and fun. All items start at $5, $10, or $25 and everything will have a "Buy It Now" price (determined by CAE based on the stated value).

Who was Clyfford Still and why is his work getting the royal treatment in Denver? Born in 1904, Still was a leading figure in the development of Abstract Expressionism, a post-World War II artistic movement that many consider to be the United States' greatest contribution to world art.
A bold and iconoclastic building located in the area adjacent to the Denver Art Museum, The Clyfford Still Museum's collection includes almost 2,400 of Still's paintings, drawings and prints - roughly 94 percent of this influential artist's total output. The museum will also contain the artist's archives, including personal letters, photographs, journals and sketchbooks. Virtually all of this material has been sealed off from public and scholarly view since 1980. The design of the building is bold and iconoclastic - a perfect fit for an artist like Still.
The docent will talk about Still's interesting and progressive artwork and the amazing architecture.
The EPRD, Center for the Arts Evergreen and Art for the Mountain Community have teamed up to bring you this event. Please also go to the brown bag lunch series on Clyfford Still at the Center of the Arts Evergreen. This presentation is free and open to the public on Wed. Jan 11 at noon.
