If there was a way that you could conjure up your bliss in an instant, and remain within it for a protracted time, would you wish to learn how, and would that grab your attention?  Yes, of course it would, for the great effort in life and almost continual purpose is the pursuit of happiness.

Happiness, however, to be authentic, to be genuine, is neither something external that you must obtain and apply to yourself as if it were an iPhone app, nor is it belabored and tough to gain as though it were an Olympian task.  Happiness - and even more so, bliss - is nothing so effortful.  It is merely the removal of one's daily and constant stress.

Seemingly so simple, and yet not as easy as all that, the removal of stress requires a new way of thinking.  It requires a belief, first of all, that life will be safe and advantageous when one stops thinking about choices, decisions, and problems.  What is left is something called The Flow, which is to say the unfolding of energy patterns, the onrush of experience.  True, from time to time key decisions must be made, but a secret is that this internal strategizing does not have to be continual, for during perhaps 90-95% of one's day, it is actually fine to be relaxed and surrendered.

Which brings us to a second key point: not only can you learn to halt the irritant of thought-production, but you can also discover the miracle of inner connection.  What is inner connection?  Some would call this knowing your Higher Self; others, facilitating your intuition.  When the stream of stressful thought-production is allowed to fade, and the Flow of life's energy to carry one forth, you are half-way to bliss.  The second part, then, is to learn the nature of personal connectedness to one's own higher being, or divine source.  And this is like locking onto a navigation system that will not let you down, that defines safety, purpose, values and goals.  And it's not all that difficult to achieve.

So, for the person who flows with the onslaught of life's experience while being firmly locked onto and guided by intuition, bliss is available all the time.  It is not waiting somewhere "out there", the province only of Zen masters and advanced beings; it is here, within.  Let it roll!  Be the self you are, maximized.
