I thought I'd explain what an astrology session is all about, what's entailed.

It's all heavy-duty math plus intuition.  I don't just pluck stuff out of the air.  It's not just sitting and schmoozing.

When you give me your birth data, I must input it into a software program.  I tell it to run your natal horoscope (birth chart), then I also input your current address and this month's date and tell it to run progressions and searches.  The print-out is at least seven pages - two of "wheels", and five of little numbers and glyphs.  Sometimes I also want the program to give me your chart for this year's birthday, which is called your Solar Return.  Just running the software takes at least 15-20 minutes (and that's on a good day when the computer is cooperating!).

Now, that's all just the beginning.  All this data must be interpreted.  Mathematical relationships called aspects must be found; searches must be studied to see when things will be happening to you.  And then all the symbols must be converted into meaningful English.  If I see a long-lost family member showing up, that's not a guess!  If I see luck with a windfall on the 23rd, that's not a hope!  If I see a sad time in late May when you'll feel low and may have the blues, I'm not making things up.  If I see a love relationship forming in six months, it's not wishful thinking.  Everything I'll be telling you is totally based on these crucial calculations.  This prep work before our session often takes hours!  An astro-student-newbie would spend MONTHS on this stuff! Why do I do it?  Because astrology is my calling. 

I've been doing this for over 30 years.  I do calculations very fast in my head, with many layers turning at different speeds simultaneously.  All REAL astrologers do this.  It's not the work of storefront psychics; it takes brainpower!  Concepts like vertex, dwads, plane of the ecliptic, delineation, sidereal, quinqunx and retrograde are thrown around like frisbees, and we're supposed to know what it all means.

And then you and I have our 1-, or 1.5-hour session.  And I charge what I charge... not really a very large fee for all that work.  And that's how it goes.  Plus, I throw in Tarot and AstroDice as part of it.
