Baby signing has swept the country and it's not hard to see why!

Build A Bear (or two!)
Since the day after her 5th birthday party Alice had been asking for a Build-A-Bear party so for her 6th birthday party we were found outside our local store waiting for the shutters to come up. Alice and 10 of her little friends were welcomed by the beaming faces of the Build-A-Bear team who introduced themselves to us and all the children. Then the party began. All the children choose their bear 'skins' and our party host initiated waking them up with lots of jumping. Then the children went to the stuffing machine to have their bear filled and a special heart inserted. They also brushed and blow dried their bears and decorated them with a lot of coloured ribbons supplied. There was then a game of chinese whispers whilst the bears were sewn up and all the children signed a special birthday bear for Alice. Lastly everyone joined in the Build-a-Bear promise. All the children received birth certificates and box 'houses' for their bears too. Everyone thought it was over but the biggest surprise was still in store when the giant bunny mascot joined us for cuddles. We were also presented with a framed photo of everyone with the mascot.
 Alice had a lovely time and was made to feel very special as the birthday girl. For Mummy booking was very easy, all done on-line and easy to use links to printable party invitations too. The party lasted about 1 ½ hours and was run entirely by the Build-A-Bear party host. Very young children may find the waiting whilst bears and filled and sewn a bit too much so I'd recommend parents stay with under 4s. We also posted two Daddy's on the door as the party is held in a public shop so we didn't want any escapees. The Build-a-Bear team couldn't have been more helpful and we'd recommend this as a very good party option that is good value and low effort. Priced from £9pp, mascot appearance extra.
