Show Mum you care on 22nd March

Education CityWith mothers day looming I am sure that all children and husbands everywhere are thinking about getting mum that mothers day gift.  But with the credit crunch beginning to affect us all can we afford to get mum that ultimate pressie?

I think this is the time to really think about what mums want, not what we would like to give them, these can differ amazingly.

As a mum myself you'll be surprised to hear no doubt that what I would like on Mother's Day costs very little at all. A home-made card for instance is something to be kept and treasured always, long after the flowers have been chucked in the bin. Or how about breakfast-in-bed?

With cost-cutting going on around the country this will come as good news for hard-pressed families. 24% of people say they are spending less on a gift or card this year, with money-saving ideas ranging from getting kids to make a crafty collage through to creating a 'spa day at home' experience for Mum.

And don't forget It's not just mums that deserve a treat on Mother's Day,  grandmas are hoping for a special day too.

We're a Friend of Freddies Futures

Freddies provides a safe and effective environment for children who have, for various reasons been statemented by the LEA.

The common theme for the children who will attend Freddies is that they have received diverse diagnosis'.

These include behavioural, emotional and social difficulties and often a complex combination of other disorders including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

In so many cases the current school system is still failing them and their families and they seem to be receiving no real help.

Freddies has been founded to change all that!

Typically, 'Freddies' children have been identified as having behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, in conjunction with such other diagnosis as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Perhaps because of their violent behaviour they will be seen by society as too challenging to be integrated and thus may embark on a path to self destruction.

All of the professionals involved with Freddies will have a proven background understanding of the children and their need to learn a wide range of skills within targets carefully matched to their abilities. Prior to admission to Freddies, each pupil is examined and assessed by noteworthy experts. The tests are designed to accurately measure the general intelligence, aptitude and skill-sets of the child and to assess and identify any psychological, physiological or emotional issues.
