Dear Sisters in Christ,
Greetings of peace and love in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a both a great honor and a most humbling experience to serve you as members of the National Council of The Order of the Daughters of the King, Inc. Click here to please find a copy of a letter shared with the National Council at our 2007 annual meeting held at the Margaret Franklin Center in Woodstock, Georgia, October 24-28, 2007. Also enclosed are supporting documents pertaining to the operation of non-profit corporations such as The Order of the Daughters of the King, as well as information regarding Georgia Legal Code. With steadfast prayer and discernment we, the undersigned, feel compelled also to share this document with the members of our Order in the interest of full disclosure. Please share this document with your Chapter Presidents.
This letter reflects concerns in regard to decisions and actions that have occurred since our election to the National Council in July 2006, at the Triennial meeting in Orlando , Florida . Our duties as members of the National Council are both spiritual and corporate. We are charged with overseeing and conducting the business of the Order. To effectively lead, all Council members must work together for the common good of the Order. We strive with God's grace to do just that.
Please feel free to contact any of us with questions and comments. Our contact information may be found on the inside front cover of the current issue of The Royal Cross. We look forward to hearing from you.
As ever our prayers are with you and our Order. May God's richest blessings be yours.
Love in Christ Jesus,
fHs,
