MoCo Reads Barefoot Books!
|
|
Come hear some stories and explore Barefoot Books!
MoCo Reads is back for two sessions this month to introduce Barefoot Books, a new line of books we're carrying. Come hear Lori Brazell, mother, MoCo member, Barefoot Books Ambassador and educator, read several of her favorites and then go shopping for all those kids you know. One of the best ideas we've ever heard is to have a stash of 10-20 books in a closet for birthdays, big brother/sister gifts and of course, holiday gifts. Then you'll never never need to run add that errand to your long list of to-dos!
Bring a blanket to snuggle up with as you read. Barefoot Books are about exploring other cultures, our planet and ourselves. They are about making time for make-believe and letting imaginations run wild and free. Come on down and have a relaxing morning at Mothers & Company!

Try Out Two Classes in December
|
|
Have a 3, 4 or 5-year-old that would love to do yoga while pretending to be a dog, a bear or a tiger? Come try this class out (two trial classes on one day) and once you love it, sign up for the series that starts in January! The series costs only $80 for six weeks (10% off for members), and after the second class, kids can come without parents!
If you have a mat, please bring it with a large towel. It's fun for parents AND for kids!

Enjoy a chance to stretch, strengthen and BREATHE as well as bond with baby. Baby will love being close-by or in your arms as we move through a soothing series of yoga postures. A wonderful postpartum workout also geared to calming and quieting the mind. Babies newborn to crawling are welcome to join their caregivers. Oh, and by the way, we love when DADS or GRANDPARENTS come...we just can't think of a cute way to change the title to reflect that...any suggestions?
Please note, this is not a power-yoga class--this one is more gentle and allows for much more involvement of the baby WITH poses. Led by Jessica, a mother and experienced yoga teacher. A new 6-week series starts in January but come try it this month and give yourself the gift of yoga this holiday season.
Thursday, December 9 at 11:45 am Thursday, December 16 at 11:45 am $13.50 drop-in fee for members; $15 for non-members. Register now!

Safety First During the Holidays
|

Meghan's Hope was born out of both love and grief. Kim's goal was simple, to prevent any other child from dying the way her beautiful Meggie did--her dresser fell on her just a few days before Christmas. Yes, be sad for her family. Ok. NOW make sure it doesn't happen to any other kids!
Meghan's Hope is an organization whose mission is simple. To educate the public about the very real danger that a child can be severely injured or killed by falling furniture or televisions and it happens in an instant. No one EVER expects it will happen to their child.
One way to be sure is to take our Childproofing Essentials & Beyond class.
