It's so important to have a home to come home to at the end of day with loving family and friends around you. Unfortunately, not everyone is so fortunate. There are thousands of women and children in crisis every year in Central Massachusetts that need your help. They need your help through your donations for the wonderful work of Abby's House, which since 1976, provides shelter, housing, food, clothing, education and so much more. For many, arriving at Abby's House marks a crossroads. There, women become more aware of the decisions they must make and the power of their choices. Women take a breath and take a break in a space that encourages both healing and forward motion.

Speaking of "forward motion", Mothers & Company and several other women-owned businesses in our office building have organized a fundraiser for Abby's House: a 5K race/walk. This Saturday, October 23rd, is the big day. Sign up to run or to walk. Or just donate. Even $10 can help feed a pregnant mom or a group of siblings.
