This week is also International Babywearing Week. And it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And there's a Teeter Tots Trunk Sale of beautiful European resale clothing here this Saturday. Oh, and we're going to Vegas, baby! There's a lot to celebrate!

It's International Babywearing Week
We're celebrating all month with trade-ins and a new carrier rental program...
Did you know that wearing your baby or toddler can help you stay warm on a cool Fall day? Until October 30, bring in a baby carrier/sling/wrap that you don't use anymore and receive a discount off a new one. Nonmembers will receive 10% off the purchase of a new carrier/sling/wrap and members will receive 20% off. Stop in anytime for a babywearing demo or fitting (it's best if you bring your baby or toddler with you but that's not required). And what do we do with all those traded-in baby carriers? We donate them to families in the Worcester area who otherwise cannot afford them.
Try Before You Buy Child Carrier Rental Program
We are also thrilled to announce that we have begun our child carrier rental program. Why buy a carrier when you're not sure you'll love it? Come in and ask about it. It's affordable and if you decide to buy it, your rental fee goes toward your purchase. Cool, eh?

Think Pink Sale for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
(a.k.a. we're aware, now let's find a cure!)
From October 9 - October 30, in an effort to remind everyone to help find a cure (awareness is nice, but a cure is what we really want, right?), everything that is pink in our shop is on sale. Come in find a pink item or two and receive 10, 20 or 30% off! MoCo Members receive an additional 10% off. Some restrictions apply.
For example, check out Booby Tubes. They are a natural and safe gel-free breast pack made with 100% organic cotton shell and filled with all-natural flax seeds. Use warm or cold. Store them in the freezer and wear them in your bra between feedings to help reduce swelling and tenderness of engorgement and comfort breasts during weaning. We're Going to Vegas, Baby!
Why are we sharing this? A couple of us are headed to Las Vegas for the ABC Kids Expo, the primary trade show for the juvenile products industry. There are at least ten miles of aisles we'll be walking, all to find new products and see and touch improved products.
This is all so we can serve you better.
We'll be checking out bras, carriers, pumps, strollers, toys and everything and anything you can imagine that parents, babies and kids might need/want. Have any recommendations of products you'd like us to check out while we're there? Please let us know so we can check those things out in person at the show.

Hug a Midwife: it's National Midwifery Week
It's the time of the year to hug a midwife. Whether she works in a hospital, birth center or in homes, send a note, call or email a midwife that you know and let her know you appreciate what she does for moms, dads and babies. Don't know any midwives? Come and meet some!

Are you expecting and wondering what a doula really does? What is a midwife? How do they work with doctors, nurses and families? Are you a candidate for midwifery care? Interested in becoming a midwife or doula? Come ask all your questions and meet some doulas and midwives in-person! Whether you're planning a hospital birth, birth center birth or homebirth, having a doula and midwifery care are wonderful options to consider . Please register in advance. $10 per expectant mother (who is encouraged to bring her birth partner). Includes reading materials related to childbirth as well as light refreshments.

The Fun Continues
If you're reading this and it's the morning of Thursday, October 7th...you might be interested in joining Mommy Power Yoga (with baby) at 10:00 am. It's a great workout and a fun time with your baby, too.
Or come at 6:30 pm Thursday, October 7 for Adventures in Toileting to learn some insights about how your toddler thinks and what you can do to help get him or her used to using the toilet. Call for more information on this workshop.
There are more one-time workshops coming up in early November: Infant Massage, Baby Sign Language, Toddler Sign Language and Childproofing Essentials, too. So much going on, how can you fit in this much fun!?
