Preparing for Parenting Twins (or more!)
Whether you're new to parenting or already have one or two at home, having multiples brings it's own special joys and challenges. Come learn from an experienced mom of twins who is also a birth doula and childbirth educator...she'll talk a bit about your birthing options but more about the hospital, NICU and how to live with your new babies and make it work! And you're also welcome to come to our monthly meeting, Multiple Joys & Challenges, a free group for parents of You CAN wear twins...with calm persistence...  | multiples.

Prepared Childbirth
This class is for those who are interested in having an epidural for their birth (or are open to it). Covers natural methods for coping with labor as well as medications and so much more. There's more to labor and birth than just medication, so this class chock full of info, fun and time for your questions.

Caring for a New Baby
You didn't know all you didn't know abo ut taking care of a baby...from diapering to swaddling to basic baby care, soothing and making decisions about your baby's medical care...it's a three-hour class and you'll be so glad you took it. Taught by a pediatric nurse who is a mother of two!

Preparing for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean)
The American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists just came out with less restrictive guidelines for VBAC, saying that the research shows that VBAC is a safe option for most women (and that some women can even have a VBAC after two Cesareans). Yey! We've known that the research has shown that for years, but are so excited that ACOG has acknowledged it. So, come learn how to increase your chances of VBAC success from an experienced childbirth educator who is also an expert about VBAC. Lois Freedman has been teaching about VBAC (and counseling women privately in preparation for birth and after a traumatic birth) for over 25 years.

This class is for those who are planning an unmedicated birth, whether in a hospital, birth center or at home. Includes lots of info and practice with natural methods for coping with labor as well as information about all your options related to It's thorough, fun and even dads say they love it.

HypnoBirthing

Baby Registry Update
We know
you're busy getting ready for the baby (or babies) to come, so we're
taking the work out of creating your baby registry.
We now guarantee that items for which you register during your in-store registration process will be available when your friends and family come to buy them. How is that possible? You choose the items and we put them aside marked just for you! We also put them online for your online registry and send you the password.
We have "we are registered at MoCo" cards for your shower invitations and can take orders over the phone, online or in person.
Add Mothers & Company to your list of places to register and let everyone know you did!

Slight Change in Our Hours
Effective the week of July 25th, we'll be closing at 5pm on Tuesday evenings. However, we're still open on
Wednesdays and Thursdays until 7pm to serve you!

We love moms, dads, bellies and babies. Come on in! Planning on nursing? Come to one of our FREE Breastfeeding Support Groups or New Moms Groups to listen in and learn from moms who are just a few months ahead of you...they're happy to share their experiences and perspectives.
And remember, everyone that works in our Shop is a mom, so we know what you're going through. Come in and enjoy our air conditioning, some cold water or warm tea and just sit and enjoy some time to yourself. We're here for you!
