Holden Days is an annual community event that runs up and down Holden's Main Street. Thousands visit for this event, which promises fun free activities for the entire family! Here's what's in store as Holden Days celebrates its 30th anniversary:

• Main Stage performances by renowned bands Tailspin and Pet Rock, along with dance numbers performed by CCS Dance Academy.

• A Food Court featuring the specialties of Chamber member restaurants.

• Marketplace booths at the Damon House where you can learn more about local non-profits and businesses (like Mothers & Company!).

• Storytelling and singalongs in the Kids Court led by performer Marcus Gale, along with archery, face painting, games and contests.

• Take a ride on the Roaming Railroad.

• A farmers market, chicken barbecue and yard sale at the First Congregational Church.

• The annual Friends of Gale Free Library Book Sale.

• A Craft Corner and Art Lot to showcase local talent.

• The HCTV Trolley to transport you to the different venues.

• Plus much, much more! 

The instructor for this class is Courtney Koumjian, ASL Licensed Instructor with WeeHands and mom to four children.  She graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a BS degree in Community Services where she studied ASL quite seriously.   When her fourth child was born four years ago, her ASL skills came in use again, this time in her personal life.  Her son was born hard of hearing so the family now communicates using both ASL and speech.  After volunteering in another son's pre-school class teaching signs, it was clear they loved it and were hungry for more.  Not only was it a joy to teach the children, but she also knew how it could benefit so many families.  For babies and toddlers, to communicate earlier than they would with speech, is a parent's dream.  Courtney enjoys being a helpful part of that experience with families.
