Ladies...this enews is just for you. Yes, we know that today was Father's Day, but we also sent an enews just for dads, so please forward that one to him (using the "forward to a friend" link at the very bottom of the enewsletter).
Speaking of Father's Day, do you want to get him something from the baby? Register him for Infant Massage for Dads on July 11th (with lactation consultant and MoCo Momma Debbie Page) or encourage him to come to our dad's beer-tasting event on July 19th (after you come out on July 18th for Naturally Pretty for Pennies). We've also got a good deal for dads who golf (see below). Celebrate Dads!
Okay, back to mom stuff...I recently heard a new mom say, "I didn't know motherhood was so messy." That struck me as funny. And true. But would we have it any other way? Sometimes messy is fun! Have
you already figured out that having a change of clothes, including diapers/underwear, for your baby
or toddler in the trunk of your car is a good idea (and an extra
t-shirt for YOU, too?).
Have a baby? How are you doing about getting out and meeting other moms? Our Itsy Bitsy Yoga Baby class is starting the 7th of July--register NOW and tell your friends! It's fun and a wonderful way to meet other moms and bond with your baby. Other family members or caregivers are also welcome to bring baby if mom can't...
How are you feeling? Come share your feelings at New Moms Group and hear how normal you really are (and get recommendations for counselors, therapists or postpartum doulas if you need some help)!
Reflecting on your birth? Want to talk about it? Have you taken the Birth Survey yet? Please do! Join our next Birth Circle (see below for details) and share your birth story--it's always a lot of fun and moms who have come have found it so valuable.

Itsy Bitsy Yoga Baby classes contain dozens of unique yoga postures designed
to support your baby's development. Each class is filled with calming,
nurturing ways to enhance bonding and improve baby's sleep.
During
your Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga class, your baby will enjoy yoga while on
his/her back, tummy or held in your loving arms. During this class you
will meet other parents, get support and learn about your baby's
emerging personality. Most of the yoga you'll do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is
for baby, but you will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques
as you practice a bit of yoga yourself. No yoga is experience required.
Our
own Sarah Whiteman (mother, yoga instructor and MoCo Associate Momma)
received her IBY training directly from Helen Garabedian, the founder
of Itsy Bitsy Yoga.

We know it's hard to find these bottles, so we've got them in stock. And they are both BPA-free, of course. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Babywearers, Come Hither...
Here's another quote we recently heard at MoCo:
"if babies are near your boobs, they won't get touched"...to which was she referring? I say both.
Want to wear your baby? Already have a sling or two but interested in other types? Mothers & Company has the largest selection of baby carriers in the state (as far as we know...), so bring your baby over and try them on!
NEW: the Kozy Carrier Mei Tai
It took a while to find the right mei tai, but we found one we love and we think you'll love it too: the Kozy Carrier. Fits small babies and big toddlers, has padded shoulderpads, a cool pocket on the front strap and the fabrics are beautiful and durable. You'll have to try it to believe it. Fits babies and toddlers, provides good head support and is really flexible on both your front and your back.
We still love the Moby and have many colors to choose from, but come check out a new alternatives: the Wrapsody/GypsyMama woven and stretch wraps in hand-dyed fabrics from Bali! These are lightweight fabric and they are just gorgous. You have to try them to believe it.

During this workshop you'll be making your own spa-quality skin-care products out of items you can find in your home pantry--hence, naturally pretty for pennies. You'll be surprised at how easy it is to save money and use non-toxic homemade recipes to make your own body-care products. Mothers of older kids, grandmothers and any women you care for are also welcome!

Dads Night Out: Beer, Buddies & (Talking About) Babies

We've sent another enews for the guys letting you and he know about this special event, but he's more likely to attend if you encourage him. Let's make it a trade...he bonds with baby on Saturday the 18th so you can attend Naturally Pretty for Pennies and you hang out with baby on Sunday so he can meet other dads and learn about beer and talk about babies, too.
This event will be co-facilitated by by James Donald and Matt Webster. James is a new-ish dad (he's in the picture above with his daughter Meara in a sling...and he's drinking NON-alcoholic beer, rest assured). Matt is the Supreme Chancellor of Beer, from Drink A Better Brew, a local beer education company. Dads will be able to enjoy an evening of support and sharing ideas of how to raise a baby or toddler while learning about different beers and how to best pair them with food.

recipes so you can make your own cleaners right away. Learn from Cathy, a local mother and experienced
natural home cleaning expert about how to make your own easy and
effective solutions as well as what to look for when buying cleaning

Twins: Before & After Pictures
Check out this before and after...a happy mother of twins, enjoying some time at MoCo, first showing off her beautifully pregnant-with-twins belly and then back for a visit and nursing her twins comfortably on our daybed. Suuuweeeettt!
 
Do you have or know someone with twin or triplet babies? Encourage them to bring their babies to the MoCo Tea Time for Mommas of Multiples group the second Thursday of each month at 2:30 pm. It's free and a wonderful opportunity to meet other moms of multiples who are bringing their babies with them!
Also, check out the Greater Worcester Mothers of Twins Club or the West Suburban Chapter of the MA Mothers of Twins (both have parent-only support groups).
