A note of thanks from a fellow
United Way Supporter! | |
Following a recent presentation by Inland Empire United Way's President, Gregory Bradbard, we received this heartfelt note. We are grateful for the opportunity to touch the lives of both our donors and our service recipients!
"The United Way is an extraordinary organization that has truly made the difference in the lives of so many individuals. It was obvious to the Biosense employees that you are very passionate about helping children and families that are not as fortunate as most of us. The statistics regarding the number of children who are unable to continue their education and often don't receive a decent meal is heartbreaking. So many of us take our lives for granted. When I returned home on Tuesday, I shared the story with my kids of how children are provided backpacks of simple foods to take home over the weekend, and how this food is often the sustenance for the entire family. We have a pantry full of food, yet they complain because it does not have the food they want. The possibility of facing bare cupboards is so far removed from their reality, they can't even fathom it. Yet, for so many kids, this is the reality they face every day. I am grateful that individuals like you, and organizations such as the United Way, are fighting to preserve the livelihood and future of our children. Thank you again for inspiring all of us to give what we can to the United Way."

October 2010 Company of the Month
| |
We are thrilled to announce that our Company of the Month for October 2010 is Enterprise Rent-A- Car!
Here at Inland Empire United Way, Enterprise is ranked as one of our top supporters. Enterprise and their dedicated associates are fully engaged in supporting United Way and making a difference in their local communities in a wide variety of ways - as a company, as individual donors and as volunteers.
Last year, the employees of Enterprise contributed an impressive $94,000 for this region. Among the largest segment of their giving are substantial pledges from members of the Enterprise leadership team who contribute generously and encourage giving from all levels within the company. Based on this year's goal and progress, Enterprise expects their total 2010 contribution to increase to more than $100,000 to benefit children and families in need in our local community!
