| WE Connect |
On Saturday, April 25th the monthly WE Connect Community Outreach Event was held at the Archibald Library in Rancho Cucamonga.
Kristen Bennett, the Inland Empire WE Connect VISTA, and six Neighborhood Connector volunteers were present to speak about the WE Connect Campaign, handout materials, and assist with the online resource screening tool, WEb Connector.
We introduced WEb Connector table tents placed next to each computer to serve as a brief "how to" encouraging people to screen themselves for valuable, money-saving resources.
The event was a success as individuals used Web Connector to learn what they could benefit from plus receive information on how to apply.
In our current economy, people rely more on public libraries for internet access and for information on resources. For this reason, there is hope for a strong relationship between our public libraries and the WE Connect Campaign.
Next month, a similar outreach event will be held at another local library to continue encouraging the use of Web Connector throughout the Inland Empire.
For more information on the WE Connect campaign, please connect online at www.weconnect.net.
