Kids In Need - School Tools

HSBC Sets New Supply Drive Record!
For the third year in a row, employees at HSBC set a new School Tools supply drive record. This year, they generously donated 15,048 new school supplies, which will be distributed through the Teacher Resource Center.  This will go a long way to help kids learn and succeed!  Thank you, HSBC for your continued support and partnership.

Donor Spotlight:
Michael Vanderpool, UPS Aircraft Maintenance

  Mike Vanderpool
This year, UPS Aircraft Maintenance employee Michael Vanderpool went above and beyond. Mike wanted to do something different to get his fellow employees more engaged in the annual United Way campaign.  He decided to organize a hamburger/hot dog cookout. Mike worked and served hot dogs into the wee hours of the morning and raised approximately $350 for KidSmart. It was so successful, he organized a second BBQ.  Serving chicken and potato salad, and raised another $300, proving again that one person CAN make a difference!

On behalf of IEUW KidSmart, thank you to Mike Vanderpool and the rest of the employees at UPS Aircraft Maintenance for their commitment and dedication to improve a child's chance to succeed in school and in life.

IEUW KidSmart Staff

The IEUW KidSmart team is working hard to help disadvantaged kids succeed!  We love our community, value our partnerships, and greatly appreciate our volunteers and supporters.  Feel free to contact us at any time!

The IEUW KidSmart Initiative provides disadvantaged children with the resources they need to learn and succeed in school.  All children deserve the tools that will inspire and prepare them for a better future.  By removing barriers to success, KidSmart programs are working in our community to alleviate childhood hunger and food insecurity, encourage fitness and good nutrition for kids, and provide supplies for school and to meet other basic needs.
