Special One Night Only Performance

Greetings!

Teaching for Change is pleased to invite you to a show at Busboys and Poets featuring noted journalist and cultural historian Jeff Biggers. The performance also features poet Henry Mills and Mozambique/American recording artist Chude Mondlane.

Jeff Biggers takes no prisoners in this intense, funny performance about the myths, facts, and contradictions in Arizona history.

With the Tea Party, ethnic studies ban, and SB 1070 setting the stage, State Out of the Union: Arizona and the Final Showdown Over the American Dream opens a new window into the complex history of American immigration conflicts.

Biggers is a frequent speaker and performer at theatres, festivals, conferences, and schools. He is an award-winning playwright and has appeared on Off Broadway and at theatres around the country.

"Arizona's nativist Right gets pilloried in this feisty,
very partisan chronicle of the state's immigration politics."
