In the very beginning of the original edition of A Course in Miracles, even in front of the Forward, there is a quote which says: "Your past learning must have taught you the wrong things simply because it has not made you happy. On this basis alone, its value should be questioned". CH8.4
And that's precisely what Tomas Vieira and Nouk Sanchez invite you to do in our feature article " Who Are You? And What Do You Want? based on their book: " Take Me to Truth". [ Book review by Edgar Cayce Association]

Who Are You? And What Do You Want?

What do you want? What is that you really want, and are you ready to hear the truth?
The truth is that we don't really know what we want and until we get clear about recognizing and owning this fact, we'll never know what we're really looking for let alone ever hope to find it! Perhaps superficially we think we need money, a house, car, partner, better relationship or an education for our kids. Or maybe we think we need a special experience. Perhaps we think we need to control or avoid, or get healthier. Could there be an addiction that we want to give up? But the real question here is just who is doing all this wanting? Who desires to be in control and to know? Who is perceiving scarcity? Is it you? Most would answer, "Yes it's me". But the truth is it's not. It's nothing even close to who you are. Who you are is an extension of immense and infinite love. You're a living extension of the awesome power of love with no opposite. That means that you're a co-creator with infinite ability to extend what you are. And in giving your infinite abundance you increase it all around and within. You know that there is nothing to need, to have, to become, or to avoid. Can you imagine that? So, if you're not experiencing this wonderful state every day then you've forgotten who you are and therefore, what you really want. FULL STORY ─ ─

 There is nothing I like more than a good question about the Course. And by "good question", I mean a thought provoking one - a question that makes me reassess what I currently believe and perhaps come to see it in a new light. As a result, we have a very interactive study group of Course students here in Louisville where everyone is encouraged to share their insights and questions. It is also a very diverse group with people from widely varying religious backgrounds so we get a lot of very insightful questions and I've been making a note of them for the last 15 years. Here is another of my favorite ones:

TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: The text is taken from the JCIM edition <now referred to as the original edition>of A Course In Miracles. The Course is a Miracle in itself, and I have so much appreciation for Helen Schucman's ability to hear and express His Voice with such supreme beauty.
I have not changed the Course text at all, except as it is interspersed with Jesus' current Guidance on it.
The Course text is in bold face and slightly larger font. The Guidance is in normal type, slightly smaller.
In His Guidance here, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You. When You see the word 'You' capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to You, He is honoring You.

Jesus' Course In Miracles
This is, of course, only My Course in the sense of My giving it to You, My beautiful sleeping Brothers and Sisters.
It might better be titled Jesus' Gift to the world of dreams and dreamers. My intention, given with this Gift, is that You all will waken to realize the Love that is Ours.
How do I describe this Love to You who think in terms of partiality? It is ... All: All there is including All. Not one of You could ever be left out of this Love, out of the 'loop' as You say. Everyone is not only included, but absolutely necessary - essential to Love - which would not be Love without You.
And I Love You unconditionally and unreservedly.
And I want You to understand that I am speaking to each and every one of You, whether You are reading this or not, no matter how good or bad You think You are, kind or mean, poor or rich, generous or stingy, intelligent or dull - whatever category, race or religion with which You have chosen to identify.
YOU are essential to God, to Me and to All.
Unlike the song about Henry Higgins the sun will not rise without You. The birds will not sing without You. The tides are still, motionless without You. Spring will not come without You. You are absolutely essential to and Loved by Your Creator.
