Money Making Idea:

9 1 1

Light bulb idea
If you're in business for yourself, you already know that your sales are directly related to  your marketing efforts.

And, there's a good chance that part of your marketing plan includes follow-up phone calls and the dreaded "cold calls."

Do you ever find yourself doing everything else... but making those phone calls? Putting them off until tomorrow...and then tomorrow...and then maybe next week?

If this describes you, remember "911" - because not making these phone calls is truly an emergency signal for your business.

Try this - block out the hours of 9am and 11am to place phone calls. Why during these hours? First, a common time management strategy involves "doing the most difficult things first." Secondly, because you are much more likely to reach people (rather than their voice mails) first thing in the morning.

What techniques do you use to psyche yourself into making important, but dreaded phone calls?

If you've spent the time and effort to put up a website, I would imagine you'd really appreciate it if people would visit it. Though some people know you and your website, most of your visits will come from people who don't know you, but have found you from their search.

How can you ensure that people find YOU on their search? Keywords.

What are keywords? Keywords are the specific search words that people include in a search query when they're trying to find something on the Internet. Search engines don't have a brain, so they can't actually "read" websites to find out which website is best. Instead, the search engines look for specific words that are on the website and embedded by the programmer (HTML tags).

In order for your website to show up on the search, it's important that the keywords they use in the search are the same keywords that you have on your site including those on your webpages as well as HTML tags.

If you're not getting enough "hits", the problem may be the keywords you used. Where do you find the best keywords? There are several services including www.keyworddiscovery.com ($69.95/month), www.wordze.com ($38.98/month) and www.wordtracker.com ($59.95/month). Too expensive?

Try the 7 day trial at www.wordtracker.com. What do you have to lose?

Want to view your website's HTML tags, as well as other websites'? In WindowsExplorer, click on "View", then "Source".
