| Money Making Idea:
Get Booked On Radio |
 |
Have a book or service to sell? Or do you just want to improve your sound bytes? Then, get on the radio.
Radio shows all over the United States are looking for guests and it's not as hard as you think to get booked.
I buy Joe Sabah's radio show list - 935 radio shows for $147. I send the directors a brief email with my topic idea. And, I always get a few bookings and make a few book sales off my website.
Haven't gotten rich off of radio shows, but it's fun and it helps to spread the word and bring in a few bucks. |

It's Not What You Know, but... |
|
What does it take to make more money? More certifications? Another degree? Working more than 70 hours a week?
No, it's a lot simpler than that.
According to my survey of financially successful dietitians, these things don't show up in the top 10 list of what made them financially successful (earning in the top 10% of all dietitians).
The secrets? Passion, self-confidence, positive attitude...and outstanding people and communication skills.
So, if you want to make more money, instead of working on another degree, think about spending the time working on your people and communication skills. Join Toastmasters to work on your speaking skills, take an assertiveness training class (and then practice), or work with a coach to improve your listening and communication skills.
Remember, "It's not what you know...but how you communicate what you know."

Quote of the Week
|
| Are you putting off starting your business, writing a book, or asking for a fee for your speaking until you have all the knowledge, all the experience, all the material you need? Will you ever be 100% ready? If you're like me (a bit of a perfectionist) probably not. So, remember what Jonathan Winters said about success:
"I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it."
Jonathan Winters, American comedian and author | |
Any questions? Please send them my way and I'll try to answer them in a future newsletter!
