These delicious green soybeans are harvested at the peak of ripening. Find them in the frozen vegetable section of your grocery store. I prefer to buy them already shelled, but some people like to buy them in the pod and slide the pod through their teeth to extract the beans.
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, dump in the contents of the bag, boil for 5 minutes, drain and dust with salt.
2. Enjoy them as is for a quick, protein-packed snack, or toss them into a salad or stir-fry. |

| Hello everyone!
I am very excited to introduce the new look of my monthly newsletter. The new colors and logo reflect the look of my re-designed website (see below.)
In March 2006 I created the very first issue of NutriTips. The format was different; a weekly email that included three separate articles on the topics of Nutrition, Fitness, and Mindfulness, plus a recipe. I wrote each article and either created or tracked down the featured recipe. For two years, regardless of business travel, vacation, etc. I kept up the writing schedule. I loved doing it, but when other components of my business changed, so too did the newsletter.
The monthly format is more manageable from a time standpoint, and remains a great way to keep in touch with my readers, clients, and colleagues. By the way, that first newsletter went out to 44 individuals. The ability to subscribe to the newsletter didn't yet exist, so I pulled together a random assortment of email addresses from friends, family, and colleagues. I'm delighted to report that I now have well over 700 subscribers, and the number grows weekly.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support, feedback, and suggestions. I love to hear from my readers, so don't be shy about getting in touch! |

| Website Re-design |
For quite some time I've wanted to update the look of my website. However, if you have ever created a website from scratch you know what an enormous undertaking it is. Charging ahead, I set my sites on a March 1st launch date to coincide with National Nutrition Month.
Well, March 1st came and went. Due to a variety of detours thrown in the path of both me and my web designer, the launch date was continually pushed out. So here we are on May 13th, and I think it's the perfect launch date. 13 happens to be a lucky number for me (I was married on 10/13) so no superstition here!
Believe me, the process would not have gone nearly as smoothly without the expert guidance, input, feedback, patience, and vision of Hope Gunston, queen of all web designers. So please visit my new site - I've added a blog, new nutrition therapy packages, and a few other tidbits that give a pretty good overview of what goes on here at NutriFit on a regular basis.
