Goodies For Your Heart!

* Chocolate
* Red Wine
* Exercise

Antioxidants, catechins, and anti-inflammatory properties - all deliciously packaged in a delectable treat. When it comes to chocolate, the darker the better. Seek out varieties boasting 70% or more cocoa and your arteries will thank you!

Resveratrol and potent bioflavonoid antioxidants. If you don't drink I'm not suggesting you start - you'll get the same benefits from grape juice. However, if you consider a glass of red wine one of life's pleasures, by all means, enjoy! Remember, more is NOT better - a serving is 5 ounces; 2/day for men, 1/day for women. . .I know, I know, sigh.

New American College of Sports Medicine recommendations call for 50 minutes of moderate activity 5 days per week to lose weight AND keep it off. However, any physical activity beats no activity, so if you get even 20 minutes a day you just got 100% more than most of the American population!
