The 2nd Annual Pink Iftar will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Christ Church Cathedral.  We hope that you will join us for this wonderful event which brings together women of various backgrounds and experiences.  

The Pink Iftar Committee, Brigid's Place and Christ Church Cathedral have planned another unique interfaith experience for non-Muslim women interested in learning about, celebrating and honoring Muslim women's contributions to the arts, sciences, religious and academic scholarship, politics and everyday life.  

Dr. Elora Shehabuddin of Rice University will open the program with a discussion about Islamic Faith and Feminism.  Muslim women of diverse backgrounds will gather to welcome women from other faith traditions and lead a conversation about their life experiences and perspectives.  Traditional Ramadan foods from around the world will be served along side engaging conversation. 

Please register online or email brigidsplace@brigidsplace.org by August 12th.  Tickets are $40 before August 1st and $45 after August 1st. A $3.50 processing fee will be charged for all online registrations.

FREE PARKING is available for this event in the Cathedral Parking Garage at Texas and San Jacinto.  Please note that we anticipate a large number of attendees and the garage may fill quickly.  There is also metered parking in the area.
