Greetings,

Our Feast Day of Mary the Magdalene is a few short weeks away.
Join us Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Live Oaks Friends Meeting House for our annual celebration of this wise woman, healer, myrrh bearer and apostle of compassion.

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased online in advance by clicking here.  Libations and refreshments will be served.  As always, you may also mail a check made payable to "Brigid's Place" to 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002.

In other news, our spring/summer 2010 edition of the Women's Journal will be available online early next week.  The theme is "A Call to Action".  We also have hard copies available for pick up at our office or you may contact our Administrator.  Visit our website for more information including submissions for our next edition.

Be safe and have a wonderful weekend!
Brigid's Place is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization that supports the spiritual development of women. We offer classes, lectures, discussion groups, weekend workshops and retreats where people can ask questions relating to their spiritual journeys, address their doubts, and become empowered to meet the challenges of life.  We are named after St. Brigid, a fifth century Irish Celtic Saint who founded a monastery of nuns and monks based on the social concept of equality of men and women.  They were known for their wisdom, compassion, hospitality, and healing.
