The Power of Now - Tolle
FALL STUDY
Facilitated by Pam Stockton

Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now is a life-changing book.  It challenges conventional thinking on nearly every page, starting from the premise that thinking itself is not only an addiction but among our greatest obstacles to spiritual awareness. Time is an illusion, as Tolle demonstrates, but time spent internalizing the wisdom of this text is a deep dip into being, the timeless space of consciousness beyond resistance to the present moment.

"Enter the now from wherever you are."

Eight (8) Wednesday evenings, September 29 through November 17, 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Bride's Room of Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002.  If you are interested in attending this study, please respond to brigidsplace@brigidsplace.org or 713-590-3333.

Facilitator: Pam Stockton, formerly President of Brigid's Place and Editor of the Women's Journal, is also a graduate of Perkins School of Theology. Currently she is a student at Houston Graduate School of Theology in the Master of Arts in Counseling program.

Brigid's Place is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization that supports the spiritual development of women. We offer classes, lectures, discussion groups, weekend workshops and retreats where people can ask questions relating to their spiritual journeys, address their doubts, and become empowered to meet the challenges of life.  We are named after St. Brigid, a fifth century Irish Celtic Saint who founded a monastery of nuns and monks based on the social concept of equality of men and women.  They were known for their wisdom, compassion, hospitality, and healing.
