THE BEST IDEA HUMANITY HAS EVER HAD

The Magdalen Community and Rothko Chapel proudly sponsor The Charter for Compassion Series beginning June 6, 2010.  This three-week series will discuss and reflect on the Charter for Compassion and is open to everyone.

People from all walks of life, nationalities, beliefs and backgrounds have drafted a one page document known as the Charter for Compassion.  Inspired by Karen Armstrong, the Charter summons all people to compassionate actions as the indispensible ingredient for a peaceful global community.

The Reverend Betty Adam, Resident Canon Theologian of Christ Church Cathedral and representative of the Magdalen Community, will facilitate the series.  Join us on Sundays as several amazing musicians celebrate The Charter and its message through the artistry of readings, music and dance.  The Wednesday dialogue will feature speakers from various spirtual walks of life.  Click here more information and complete details about the series.

Blessings to all.

Brigid's Place is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization that supports the spiritual development of women. We offer classes, lectures, discussion groups, weekend workshops and retreats where people can ask questions relating to their spiritual journeys, address their doubts, and become empowered to meet the challenges of life.  We are named after St. Brigid, a fifth century Irish Celtic Saint who founded a monastery of nuns and monks based on the social concept of equality of men and women.  They were known for their wisdom, compassion, hospitality, and healing.
