ArtBridge: An Arts Program for Homeless Children is thrilled to announce their first ArtBridge Picture the Possibilities Luncheon on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:30 a.m., at Houston Country Club.  They will be honoring Marianne Williamson, internationally acclaimed lecturer, spiritual leader, and author of nine books, including four New York Times #1 bestsellers.  Williamson has mirrored the work of ArtBridge through her dedication to helping those less fortunate.  We invite you to join ArtBridge in welcoming Houstonian Marianne Williamson for her inspiration, compassion, and spiritual leadership.

Founded ten years ago by art therapist Jo Ann Williams, ArtBridge: An Arts Program for Homeless Children brings high-quality expressive arts programs to homeless children in Houston area shelters.  The program strives to combat the despair of homelessness by nurturing hope and self-esteem through art expression.  ArtBridge serves 11 Houston-area shelters with 14 weekly sessions, totaling an attendance count of more than 5000 homeless children each year.  It also provide backpacks, birthday gifts, holiday celebrations, and various field trips to children in need.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to ArtBridge. With your generous support, they can continue to meet their mission: providing hope, resources, and a safety net for Houston area homeless children.

For more information, please contact ArtBridge or visit their website: www.artbridgehouston.org.

Individual tickets are priced at $150

Brigid's Place is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization that supports the spiritual development of women. We offer classes, lectures, discussion groups, weekend workshops and retreats where people can ask questions relating to their spiritual journeys, address their doubts, and become empowered to meet the challenges of life.  We are named after St. Brigid, a fifth century Irish Celtic Saint who founded a monastery of nuns and monks based on the social concept of equality of men and women.  They were known for their wisdom, compassion, hospitality, and healing.
