Real Estate eNews & Updates

August 2008

Greetings!

Okay, so my intro this time is much longer than usual. But I am so fired up about my business and helping people meet their real estate goals, I can hardly contain myself! It has been a good year so far, and I'm looking forward to serving you and your referrals above and beyond real estate. I really appreciate your referrals and helping my business grow.

Why am I so excited about my business? One reason is that my assistant extraordinaire, Eugenia Vogel, and I have been working on improving our systems and customer service. Our goal is to provide the best real estate experience in the South Bay and to serve above and beyond real esate. We work hard to develop and maintain relationships vs. just during the transaction (relational vs. transactional).

Another reason I'm excited is that I've just returned from Mastermind, an annual real estate conference held by my business coaching company, Buffini & Company. Each year, about 4 to 6 thousand real estate agents, lenders, and other business owners with their family and friends who attend to get inspired and fill up our tanks to be of better value to our clients.

As a real estate agent, you may know that I am commission-only (that means no salary!) and if I get sick or otherwise not doing well, my business suffers. Real estate is a hard business; it is much more than just signing papers and listing or showing houses! So I take advantage of every opportunity to read positive books, attend seminars, work on business systems, re-fuel, re-charge, and get inspired to help my clients to the best of my ability! This is a business decision I make  to provide better value to my clients and those around me. I have to be in good shape physically, mentally, financially, spiritually and emotionally to be of service to anyone.

Here's a taste of the Mastermind 2008, themed "Living Life Without Limits." Topics included (if you're interested, I'm happy to share my notes!):
  • Rediscovering what makes us great
  • Simplifying our lives
  • The simple path to financial freedom
  • Unlimited life goals
  • Living life without limits
Here are a few of the amazing guest speakers that appeared on stage (what a treat to see them in person!). When you have time, feel free to preview these video clips, totaling about 20 minutes. I hope they renew your spirits and give you energy as they did mine.
Please let me know if I can be of assistance to you or anyone you may know with real estate needs. I'm always looking for new clients to serve!

Sincerely,

Melinda

Sellers, Don't Skimp on Price Reduction
I read this article recently and had to make sure that anyone who is in the market to sell a home reads it. When you put your home on the market, it is key to price ir right the first time around to generate the most activity in the first 7 days of list time. If you must make price adjustments, making them too small will not achieve the goal of selling! Buyers want to see good value, and are more willing to make an offer if they see is a fair price. Read the article to get perspective on what I'm talking about.

I am currently accepting new seller clients, so if you or someone you know needs to sell their home before the end of the year, call me today for a Home Selling, Marketing & Pricing Consultation at 310-265-4222.
