I hope this e-Newsletter finds you well as we enter this Fall season! Mortgage Rates Drop Below Year-ago Levels

The article Mortgage Rates Drop Below Year-ago Levels was published on 9/17/07, a day before the Fed cut rates, which now makes it even better for buyers. If you are considering buying a home, upsizing, or getting another piece of investment property, now is a good time! Fed dropped interest rates by 1/2 percent on September 18.

This is good news if you thought you had missed the boat on a low-interest mortgage! Buyers: now is a great time to start looking into your mortgage options and obtaining a preapproval from a well-trusted lender. Preapproval letters are typically good for 60 - 90 days. Of course, you don't "lock in" your rate until you are in escrow on a property, once you've got an accepted offer.
