St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is having another Coupon Craze that will give our members an opportunity to promote their business to consumers in Palatine. All you need to do is R.S.V.P. to the Chamber and drop off 350 copies of any coupon to the chamber office by Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and we will include your coupon in a goody bag that will be passed out to residents along the parade route at the St. Patrick's Day Parade taking place on Saturday, March 17th in Palatine. This is a great way to promote your business to the community! We are also looking for members who would like to walk with us and help pass out the bags. Palatine based Journeys from PADS to HOPE serves individuals and families in north and northwest suburban Cook County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Throughout the month of March, several Downtown Palatine Merchants have banded together for a Drive for HOPE to assist with the needs of the clients of Journeys. Donations can be dropped off during the month of March at Foxglove Cottage located at 19 North Brockway, Cookie Cards located at 10 North Bothwell, Chandelier Boutique located at 17 West Wilson, Harrington Manor located at 16 South Bothwell or Areté Salon & Spa located at 9 North Bothwell. Volunteers from Journeys will also march in the 11:00 a.m. St. Patrick's Day parade and collect donations along the route. Additional information on the participating retailers.

Palatine's Gators Wing Shack took first place at the 2012 Chicago WingFest. The festival was held Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Bailey Auditorium on Washington Street in Chicago. Gators was named 'Best of the Fest' and also awarded a first place for its original buffalo wings. Gators Wing Shack, which is owned by Buffalo Grove resident Neil Jolcover and his brother in-law David Weiss, has dominated the Wingfest over the years. Gators has won 13 first place awards and five second place awards. Gators has been named 'Best of the Fest' a record three times.
