The Palatine Chamber will be hosting our "Key to Success" Awards and Installation Dinner on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at The Cotillion Banquets. We are very excited about this awards dinner as we will be recognizing many of our Chamber businesses for their contribution to the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the community.

We are still accepting nominations! Your input is very important; Please nominate fellow Chamber members for awards to be given at our "Key to Success" Awards and Installation Dinner.

Join us as we put the Spotlight on Your Business at our next WIBAF meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2012 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille (60 N. Bothwell, Palatine). Each WIBAF attendee will have an opportunity to choose a question which will be in regards to their business and then answer it to the group. We'll have a little fun but also learn about each others businesses as we each get the Spotlight. Lunch - $10 (includes your entrée, beverage, tax and gratuity

 Introducing the Home Service Pros... 


Are you a service contractor in the Palatine Chamber looking to Network and build partners in your industry? Then consider joining the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce's newest group, Home Service Pros. The Home Service Pros networking group is made up of contractors who are dedicated to producing an outstanding service experience for their customers. Our goal is to establish ourselves as the go-to-group for in-home services in Palatine and the Northwest suburbs. To help promote the group, we will use Advertising, Networking Events, Volunteer Opportunities, Chamber Events and Group Referrals. The members of this group are contractors who work on various aspects of the home: Carpentry, Electrical, Low Voltage, Plumbing, HVAC, Painting, Tree Care, Landscaping, Roofing, etc...Members are also expected to adhere to a code of ethics. It's Renewal Time Again!

 

Renew your membership now to ensure your listing in the 2012 Community Guide. A valuable benefit of Chamber membership is your listing in the annual Community Guide & Membership Directory. The process of putting this guide together takes several months, therefore it is important to renew now. Don't wait! Invoices were sent on November 2nd. If you renew your membership before December 31st, you will also be entered into a raffle to win one of the prizes that were donated by fellow Chamber Members. Please call the office if you did not receive your invoice or if you have any billing questions.

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce has already scheduled several Networking @ Nite events for 2012. Hosting a Networking @ Nite event allows our members to network in a casual setting. The host business opens their business to members and provides food and drink to those who attend. We also encourage 2 or 3 small businesses to share a sponsorship. Journeys from PADS to HOPE will hold its annual Homeless Memorial Service to honor the area homeless who have died during the past year. The event will take place on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 am at Journeys from PADS to HOPE, 1140 E. Northwest Highway. The service and candle lighting is held as a reminder that homelessness is still a serious and growing problem in the northwest suburbs and throughout the country. Speakers will include staff and community members and volunteers. Homeless men and women and their families will participate in the readings. Clearbrook has teamed up with Acme Refining to recycle the old holiday lights. Lights can be dropped off any time between November 21st and January 15th in collection bins located at three Clearbrook facilites, including: Getz Building, 746 S. Vermont, Palatine; Riley Building, 1425 Payne, Schaumburg; Resale Shop, 1815 W.
