KinschTrunk or Treat!

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with Kinsch's Florist for this year's Trunk-or-Treat event on Friday, October 14, 2011. The event was created because we wanted to provide a fun and safe place for families to play together at an evening Halloween event. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and kids can go trick-or-treating from vehicle to vehicle parked throughout the property. We have several businesses already committed to bringing out a decorated vehicle and we are still looking for more to join in the fun!  This is a great way to advertise your business and talk with parents one-on-one! There is no fee to be a part of this Halloween event. Contact Diane Kinsch at 630-338-7951 or by email to register.

OfficeMax Incorporated will donate $1 million in classroom supplies to teachers nationwide through its annual A Day Made Better teacher surprise event on October 4. It is the fifth anniversary of the A Day Made Better, in which OfficeMax awardsed 1,000 teachers with $1,000 each worth of school supplies. OfficeMax, a leader in office products and services, worked with nonprofit partner Adopt-A-Classroom to identify recipient schools in need across the country. Principals at the schools then nominated a teacher who exemplified passion, dedication, and innovation in the classroom. Since 2007, OfficeMax's A Day Made Better and its nonprofit partner Adopt-A-Classroom has funded more than 4,500 classrooms with more than $4.5 million in school supplies, and helped secure funding for more than 66,000 classrooms through donations to Adopt-A-Classroom.

When it comes to Insurance are you covered? I mean, "really" covered? If you do not have an Umbrella Liability policy--the answer is NO! Your home insurance will cover you in the event someone injures themselves in/on your home and your car will protect you for those you may injure in an accident that is your fault, but that may not be enough. Umbrella insurance protects you above and beyond the limits of your home & car policy. It is very inexpensive. Let me review your policies, explain how it works for you, and let's discuss exactly where YOU stand. Don't risk losing your home by being improperly covered. Call Dan Korvas of Dankor Insurance Agency at (847) 368-9400.
