As part of our new event, "Best Seats In Town!" the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will present the animated movie "Kung Fu Panda" shown on the side of the Harris Bank building located at 50 North Brockway in downtown Palatine starting at dusk on Sunday, August 23, 2009. The movie will be presented free to the public and seating is available on Station Street, just east of the building. Residents are encouraged to bring their families and their own chairs. Popcorn and lemonade will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit Immanuel Lutheran. The show will kick off the Chamber's community art initiative, "The Best Seats in Town." At the movie and throughout the months of September and October, park benches decorated by local artists will be displayed throughout the Palatine community. Click on the link below to find out how you can sponsor a bench and get involved in the "Best Seats In Town."

Get Connected with Palatine Residents at Street Fest
It is that time of year again for the Village of Palatine to host their "Street Fest" on August 28-30 in downtown Palatine. The Chamber is looking for members interested in marketing their businesses at our booth at this year's Village of Palatine Street Fest on Saturday, August 29-Sunday, August 30. We have split up the days into two-hour shifts. We highly recommend participating because Street Fest provides an excellent opportunity to meet and network with hundreds of Palatine residents. During your volunteer shift, you will be permitted to display your business or company information at the Chamber's booth. Anyone interested in signing up for a shift should call the chamber office at (847) 359-7200. |

The host opens their business to members and provides food and drink to those who attend. We also encourage 2 or 3 small businesses to share a sponsorship. If you are interested in hosting, contact the Chamber office at (847) 359-7200. |
