We are unhappy to report that our German manufacturer is discontinuing the production of their old-time papier-mache craft boxes. In April we received an email that notified us about this situation:

"Please note that we will stop the production of the undecorated articles as we are running out of material and we have not found a new supplier for this type of paper."

  This was startling news, to say the least! But we kept our fingers crossed, and hoped that they would locate a new source for the quality of cardboard needed to make these shaped boxes. Sadly, alas, it was not to be. This past Thursday we received an update:

"We really apologize but please believe us that we did everything to find a solution but no chance - the production is just too special."

  Having sold these wonderful papier-mache boxes for nine years, we know that our crafter friends have come to rely upon us for our wide selection of shapes and sizes. Please note that we do currently have good stock of most of the boxes, but that a few styles are nearly sold out.*
