Cloud Computing...
Is it in your future?
I just returned from the Microsoft Convergence Conference and Microsoft is in the process of making all of their software work in the cloud. What does working in the cloud mean? It means that you would no longer be purchasing software and installing it on a local computer, but would be purchasing a license to access software via the internet (cloud). The next major release of all the Microsoft Dynamics products, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), will be available to run with just an internet connection. Also, Microsoft announced Office 365. This is a version of Microsoft Office that can also be run in the cloud.
So what does this mean to you? If Microsoft is making cloud computing a major emphasis, it has to be taken seriously. We currently offer cloud solutions for both ERP and CRM software. If you think this is a possible solution for your business, please contact us.

1099 Reporting.... It's done
The Small Business Paperwork Elimination Act, which repeals the 1099 tax-reporting requirement established in the health care overhaul law that passed last year, is now official as of April 14, 2011.
The President signed this act last week, putting an end to a potential reporting nightmare that would have forced all businesses to file a 1099 on transactions over $600 and a W-9 with all companies they do business with.
The 1099 reporting rules continue unchanged, meaning than any businesses or persons that make payment to another person of $600 or more must report the amount, name and address of the payee to the IRS and the payee.
