It is simply amazing how one little idea can snowball and all of a sudden things are moving rapidly. This is the situation with us and we are very excited to see liftoff! Following are just a few examples of what we mean...

In an effort to raise much needed monies we applied to a number of charity-focused organizations. In looking at Federal Campaigns we struck gold in being accepted by LIC - Local Independent Charities based in California. We have since been chosen as a "Best in America" rated charity by the Independent Charities of America and asked to have a presence at the King County launch in September 2005. We look forward to meeting federal employees and sharing reasons for making payroll-deducted contributions. Look for us! More to follow...
WHF has been accepted for the 2005-2006 Washington State Combined Fund Drive and we are EXCITED! What does this mean? It means that if you work for the State of Washington you are able to donate to the Wyatt Holliday Foundation via payroll deduction to our cause and know that your tax exempt dollars are going to a cause that touts a 98% revenue-to- programs ratio. Please also have your Washington State friends and family choose the Wyatt Holliday Foundation as their charity of choice!
We look forward to meeting state employees at the Fall launch and sharing our cause! Come meet us - we'd love to share what we're doing to improve the world for kids!

GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER!
In June we were asked if we would like to be featured as Thurston County TV's "Mission Nonprofit" for the month of July. Therese Holliday, Founder/President, Mary K. Johnson, Vice President, and Dr. Liliane Bartha, Board Member, offer inside information on the beginnings of the organization as well as the epidemic of Autism Spectrum Disorders and their impact on society. Air times are Mondays at 11:30 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM throughout the month of July. We invite you to sit back and get to know us! DVD copies of this interview will be available for a donation of $10 incl. shipping via USPS. Email info@wyattshouse.org for more details.
Just when you thought our web site couldn't get any better... the resident techies decided to overdose on caffeine and create a fun new way to look for reading materials which focus on our kids and their issues. [In Geek, we implemented PHP-driven searches of our new book store through Giveline.com in order to help surfers experience a guided focus on chosen topics] Not only that... the first time you purchase through this bookstore you can receive a $5 discount by requesting a GIFT CERTIFICATE as a way for us to say "Thank You" for supporting us. This program captures spending that would otherwise go to a traditional retailers and generates much higher contribution per transaction than any other program. It costs nothing for us to set up or maintain and provides a unique, year-round giving opportunity for you. Please make your online shopping a conscious choice.
The Internet has truly changed the way we complete every day tasks or even experience the world around us. Now you, too, can be the one individual who makes a huge difference in the community by spreading the word about our organization and how we are making an impact on society. Create your own fundraising web page - free, no strings attached, add it to every email you send out and let the world know about your mission! Need help? Technologically challenged? Email us at info@wyattshouse.org and we can walk your through it or even do setup for you.
