Great new Products for 2012
Every year Orvis introduces new and improved equipment. Last year we had the new Access and Superfine Touch Rods . Both wonderful rods. The new reels included the new Hydros Large Arbor and the New Access Mid-Arbor reels , again both great reels. But this year we have the new Hydros Fly Lines. I have to admit, I have been waiting for this for years. Produced in-house by Orvis, these new lines will introduce something truly "new" to fly fishermen.
Totally re-engineered, these new lines will set a new bench mark for the industry. Methane is introduced into the front tapers to create a higher floating tip section, the front loop weld is considerably thinner, helping to eliminate "hinging" and improves loop strength. A new "slickness" additive is integrated into the finish of the line, and a new line identification system telling you what line model and size the line is. And finally a new 3D fly line series with a microtexture surface which reduces friction, improves flotation and eliminates tangles.
The new 3D Hydros Fly Line will allow your fly rod to perform at it's peek technical ability. Requiring less work from you, and providing a more productive and satisfying day on the stream.
