Great Escape #128 (Death Valley Campout)

For the last few months, we haven't published a Cole & Cole Travelogue.  We have been too busy working on our home in Pahrump, Nevada, to be on the road with the motorhome.  Do we miss the traveling?  Absolutely!  Going new places, seeing new things, and making new friends is always a great pleasure.  Far more fun than digging trenches and laying irrigation lines.

We are happy to report that we will definitely take the motorhome and camp out for a week in November, and we want you to join us.  Where?  Death Valley, California.  Well, why in the world would we want to spend a week in Death Valley?  After all, Death Valley is officially the hottest place on the planet.  Ah ha, but not in November.  In November Death Valley is delightful.  We want to invite you to join us for a very special camp out.  Please join us at the annual 49er Encampment.  This is a great event with lots of fun activities and music every night.

The official date of this year's encampment is November 7 - 11 at Furnace Creek.  We will definitely go in a couple of days early as there are many activities and lots to do.

We encourage you to become a member of the Death Valley 49ers.  The membership is only $35 for a family and that membership fee will get you into all events plus give you access to the swimming pool and showers.  We will be dry camped without any hookups so the swimming pool and showers are a major benefit.

Our home in Pahrump, Nevada, is one hour west of Las Vegas and Death Valley is just another hour west of our home.

Want to know more?  Please visit the official website of the Death Valley 49er organization:  Death Valley 49er Encampment

As we said back in the day, "be there or be square."  But you don't have an RV?  That's no excuse since you could stay at the Furnace Creek Ranch or live very high on the hog at the very luxurious Furnace Creek Inn.
Until next time, home is where we park it.
