Zong Shi and Pizza Theory
Two New Kickstarter Projects from Gryphon

Gryphon Games currently has two new games up on the popular funding site, Kickstarter.com, Zong Shi and Pizza Theory

Zong Shi features the art of Cyril van der Haegen (Magic the Gathering, Arkham Horror, Dragon Rampage, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game) and is the newest game by designer Kevin Nunn, who has brought you such recent Kickstarter hits as Rolling Freight and 1955: The War of Espionage.  Backers of Zong Shi can receive limited edition black figures and exclusive scroll of fortune and project cards.

Pizza Theory is a game designed by Brian and Greg Powers for 2-3 players that mixes strategic

decisions with everyone's favorite food...PIZZA! At its core Pizza Theory is a short, yet focused strategy game in which players try to outwit their opponents to gain control of the board.  The art for Pizza Theory was done by the very talented Charlie Bink (Railways Through Time, Botswana, Charon, SWAT).  Backers of Pizza Theory can get an early release copy of the Anchovy Expansion

In October Gryphon Games released two classic Sid Sackson titles, Can't Stop and BuyWord.

Can't Stop is a great press-your-luck style game that was a nominee for GAMES Magazine Best Family Game in 2008 and was on the Spiel des Jahres recommended list in 1982.

BuyWord was GAMES Magazine's Best Family Game in 2005. BuyWord is a game of words with a twist where you pay good hard cash to buy your letters, then form a word to sell at a profit. To learn more about BuyWord or Can't Stop click the links below.

It's a HUGE November for Eagle and Gryphon games as we have SIX new games arriving in stores.  In addition to Can't Stop and BuyWord we are also releasing Mirror, Mirror, Montage, Number Please!, and New England Railways.

In each case 8 letters are decoys and only the letter with the red seal is...read on

And the legend that Saint Nicholas smacked Bishop Arius full-on in the face makes me pity the poor heretic. (Bad Santa!) I'm still surprised that Saint Francis' lavish expression of kinship with nature only resulted in stigmata and not, say, a literal crucifixion for charges of pantheism - for which I'm happy.
