Visit with
Rare Sportsfilms
in Indianapolis at two Indy 500 Auto Racing Memorabilia Shows
Rare Sportsfilms has been exhibiting its video productions at Indy 500 racing memorabilia shows for more than a quarter of a century!
This year we will have a booth set up at BOTH the NARM and the IMME racing memorabilia shows and we hope you'll come on out to visit with us.
You'll find Rare Sportsfilms at:
-- The National Auto Racing Memorabilia (NARM) show on Thursday and Friday, May 24th and 25th at the Our Land Pavilion at the Indiana State Fair Grounds on 38th Street north of the Speedway. For more details about NARM click this link.
-- The Indy Motorsports Memorabilia Experience (IMME) on Saturday, May 26th in the Pavilion Courtyard near the Pagoda in the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Rare Sportsfilms will be at table #18 in the far corner of the room.
Rare Sportsfilms President Doak Ewing says, "Any racing fan who appreciates the history of the Indianapolis 500 and is lucky enough to be in Indianapolis during race week should not miss the fun of visiting the greatest assemblage of racing memorabilia and artifacts in the country - all right near the track or at the track during the three days prior to the 500 this year. The long-running National Auto Racing Memorabilia (NARM) show, and the Indy Motorsports Memorabilia Experience (IMME) inside the track itself, are not to be missed by fans eager to purchase Indy racing items from the past. Baseball fans might call it 'The National Convention of Auto Racing Memorabilia'. At these shows you'll find old photos, yearbooks, racing magazines, trading cards, model race cars, driver autographs, old pit badges, 500 ticket stubs, programs, DVDs on past 500s, books on the 500, old driver uniforms, helmets and even vintage paving bricks from the original track which has come to be known as 'The Brickyard'! For those in town Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I highly recommend attending the NARM show in the Our Land Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on 38th street northeast of the Speedway. Click this link to get more info on this show which is the second oldest continuously-running memorabilia show of ANY sport in the country! If you are in town on Thursday, I recommend attending the first day, as it is less crowded (mostly local collectors), and you can get first crack at the one-of-a-kind items available before the big crowds come pouring in from around the world on Friday and Saturday. For the 25th consecutive year, Rare Sportsfilms will have our table set up and will be open on Thursday and Friday at the NARM show. For those fans who are not able to get to Indy before Saturday, all is not lost. The day before the race, we will be exhibiting at the annual Indy Motorsports Memorabilia Experience (IMME) show, located inside the Speedway itself in the Plaza Pavilion Courtyard near the Pagoda. Show hours are 9-4. I am looking forward to displaying our DVDs and seeing old friends and new collectors alike at table #18 in the back corner of the room all day Saturday. At these shows are the most knowledgeable dealers and collectors of Indy 500 memorabilia in the country."
See you in MAY - at Indy!! |

Dear Rare Sportsfilms Subscriber,
In this newsletter we look ahead to the unofficial beginning of the summer season, the Memorial Day Holiday. Rare Sportsfilms is celebrating this 96th running of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" with new DVDs showing all the excitement of Indianapolis 500 races from two eras. Return with us to the 1930's and the 1970's to re-live this quintessential, defining sporting event of Memorial Day Holidays past. And for NASCAR fans, we've also added a trip down memory lane to the days when the Daytona stock car races were actually run on the beach!
We also hope you will take a few minutes to enjoy this segment about Rare Sportsfilms that was recently aired on the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley. It was our pleasure to welcome CBS News national correspondent Jim Axelrod for a tour of the film vault for April 5th, Baseball's 2012 Opening Day!
So take the few minutes you deserve to sit back and relax. See what's new and exciting about the three additions to our DVD collection and view our CBS Evening News interview.
Thanks for your business and we hope to see you in Indianapolis at the end of May!
Doak Ewing
