Dear Notre Dame Families:
Thank you to all who attended last nights ND Open House! I hope that you were able to meet with your child's teachers, ask questions and see some of your children's school work.
MAPs testing took place the last two weeks and is being completed by this Friday. Test results will be going home prior to parent/teacher conferences on October 23rd and October 25th. Due to the fact that the state of Wisconsin has adopted the Common Core State Standards you may see a fluctuation in your student's MAPs scores. Now that MAP assessments are aligned with the Common Core, teachers can benchmark your students against the Common Core this fall, and gain valuable insight about what they need to achieve under the new standards. Teachers will adjust instruction to attain the desired growth results for each student. For more information you can go to http://www.corestandards.org/.
Some of you have been asking about Powerschool access. Powerschool passwords and User I.D.'s will be coming home with you child early next week.
In honor of the Feast of St. Francis (patron saint of animals) we will have a pet blessing. Father Getchel will preside and the blessing will take place immediately after school on October 4th. Bring your pets to elementary school playground to have them blessed.
