Greetings!

Sinbad says, HI!
Sinbad says, "Hi!"

Summer has one more month left, but I'm not sure the temperature will go down any time soon.  I sure hope everybirdie is keeping cool!

We will be visiting Indianapolis next month to attend the Central Indiana Cage Bird Expo.  If you are in the area, please stop in and say hi.  It will be wonderful to meet new friends; we are really looking forward to it.

I've been promising new toy designs and had hoped to announce one this month.  Here is a teaser, one design is a Birdie Cabana, another is Sip Poker; the Munchkin Toy Bowl will be offered also as a Munchkin Foot Toy Bowl.  I really want to make a toy named, When Pigs Fly, but I haven't been able to find the right pig for the job!

Remember to check our website or Facebook page often for new designs; and always remember to practice safe toys!

Sincerely,

Lisa McManus

Q&A With a Wise Old Bird

ask gandalf

Dear Gandalf,

My human taught me to say "here kitty, kitty" and they get so happy when I do that.  However I've noticed that when I do the big hairy, scary thing shows up....I think they call it a cat.  What should I do?

Signed, Scared

Dear Scared:

I'm not sure what "here kitty, kitty" means but it must be something to do with calling the big hairy, scary thing.  If I were you I wouldn't say that anymore.  I don't know why humans think it's so funny to teach us things that will just get us in danger.  I know this one bird that was taught a lot of words that were bad to say and then when he got a new home he was always in trouble with his new humans.  Humans are so dumb.

Dear Gandalf,

The other day I was riding on my human's shoulder.  She forgot I was there and went outside.  I was so happy because I knew that now I was free and could fly all over. I forgot my wings had just been clipped so I flopped onto the ground.  How embarrassing.

Why in the world did my human have to clip my wings?

Signed: Fouled Flight

Dear Fouled:

Too bad!  You were so close to your freedom.  Wait a few months and then try again.  I'm sure your human will forget and walk outside again with you on her/his back.  Of course then it might be cold outside, depending upon where you live, and you would have a hard time finding food, but you would be free!

Ok fans, I am tired of this typing.  It is so hard finding the time when my human is away from the computer.  So as I always say AARRRRRGGGGHHHHH and goodbye.

Oh by the way, send me your questions to www.wiseoldbird@yahoo.com.
