Greetings!

Chewy Brushes

It's January, 2012!  Wow, time goes so quickly I have to concentrate to focus on NOW.  Yet still plan for future events.  This year Birdie Britches will be traveling to several shows around the country and Cindy Ryder from Birdee Biyou in Casper, Wyoming will be our partner.  Very exciting!  If there is a show near you that you would like us to travel to, please send us the name of the show to birdiebritches@gmail.com.

There are 2 new versions of the Chewy Brush that are ready to photograph and add to the website.  I think you will really enjoy these.  One is smaller and the other is larger and they are different shapes.  I have to get my photographer busy and photograph those and re-photograph several toys that have been updated.

More news on those next month!

Till then, remember to practice safe toys!!

Q&A With a Wise Old Bird

ask gandalf
I know you are all excited to hear from me again!

Did you make New Year's Resolutions?

Of course birds do that also and usually keep them just about as long as you humans.

So I thought I'd share mine with you this year.

1. Pluck more feathers, mine and some belonging to others.

2. Eat more seed and ignore the veggies and fruit.

3. Get my human to buy more Birdie Britches Bird Toys, especially each new design that comes out!

 4. Chase those little birds and nip a few when they get too close.

5. Look innocent no matter what.

6. Practice LOUDER just for fun.

7. Try to wake earlier in the morning and be even louder ... maybe I'll get better and faster service.

8. Won't let on that I really do like my human slave.

9. Won't let on that I really enjoy the company of my avian roommates.

10. Finish my newsletter article on time.

11. Don't let my human know that I really love my Incredi-Ball.

Ok, I'm exhausted with all this thinking and translating so back to my original thought....ARRRGGGGGGHHHHHH

Send me your questions to wiseoldbird@yahoo.com so I can amaze you with my answers.

See you next month.

The Toy Extender

A helpful addition in the cage

Have you ever gotten a new toy and could not wait to put it in your bird's cage, only to find out that it doesn't hang down far enough?  We have the solution - the Toy Extender!

The Toy Extender is a length of plastic chain with a ring on each end and a quick link attached to a ring on one end.  Just attach the quick link on the toy to the single ring on the Extender and the other end to the cage.

The Toy Extender comes in two strengths, Regular and Heavy.  Regular uses 1 1/2" links and comes in 3 sizes, 4 1/2", 6 1/2" and 8 1/2", and 4 colors, blue, green, orange and pink.  Heavy uses 3" links and comes in 2 sizes, 5" and 10", and 3 colors, white, blue and green.

It's Incredi-Ball!

Let the fun begin!

A bird's dream!  The Incredi-Ball is a 3" wiffle-type ball with fleece strung through the holes and knotted and plastic chain strung on the fleece by the knots.  The plastic chain has bells and pacifiers or buttons hanging at the ends and a fleece tassel at the bottom of the ball.  On top is a plastic wheel with links and beads or buttons hanging from it and a large bead at the very top to complete the package.

The Incredi-Ball is approximately 9" long.  Imagine the hours of fun your bird will have!

Until next month..............

We hope you enjoyed the newsletter.  Your time is precious and we appreciate you sharing it with us.  Please contact us any time you have a question or suggestion.
