Everybody can be great

Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. you only need a heart full of grace. a soul generated by love.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Issue 154 : 18 March 2012

Greetings!

There's a lot going on! Our Y2 students are fast approaching the final months of training. The Profiling Initiative is gathering momentum. Convocation is drawing closer (don't forget to book now). New enquiries are coming in.  Ministers are appearing on radio stations across the country. And shortly we will be recruiting for some volunteer Ambassadors / Envoys to help spread the word further.

With blessings to you from Tim, and on behalf of all the staff team

Have you booked for Convocation 2012 yet?

convocation 2010
In Olympic year, Convocation 2012 is being held in central London - easy to get to, friends to stay with, and plenty of buzz.

Booking is open to all ministers and students. On Saturday 9 June, we will be gathering at Friends House in Euston Road (opposite Euston station) for a full day's programme. On Sunday 10 June, Rev John Merrill is leading a sacred pilgrimage through London, calling at many interesting places. The Supervisors Network will also be meeting in London on Friday 8 June.

We need to know numbers, so advance booking is essential. You can't just turn-up on the day. Full details of the programme and a booking form are available online now. If you can offer accommodation to others in London, please let Lindsay know.

Gay Marriages

There's a lot of discussion about this issue just now. Last year, we responded positively to the consultation for reform in Scotland, and we will shortly do the same in England and Wales. Several ministers have appeared on local TV and Radio programme to contribute to the debate. One Spirit has joined the Campaign for Equal Marriage, and we invite you to sign the petition in a personal capacity as well.
