Greetings! 

 

As I write this final issue of iConnect for 2011, a wintry sun is casting beautiful horizontal shadows across the snow that fell last night. Here in the beauty of the Lake District, the hills are white, the roofs and trees are laden, and people are dressed up warmly as they deliver cards and gifts. Nature presents us with this amazing reminder of the constant cycle of death and life. The winter darkness is approaching its longest night - and yet there are wonderful lights and sights still to be seen. Deep inside each of us that little flame is waiting for the right moment to awaken and bring new life and light to our world. Your personal journey, your service and your ministry to others are deeply appreciated and acknowledged. Thank you for all your contributions to our community.

 

No matter what your circumstances may be at this time, may you and your family and friends be blessed with a sense of deep joy and peacefulness throughout these coming days. And as the light starts to return, may you remember your personal vow and step forward into service with renewed inspiration.

Rev Elinor Predota is inviting registrations for a new online course starting in February on the Journey to the Heart of Faith.

 

Rev Stephen Wright, on behalf of the Sacred Space Foundation, is offering a large country retreat house for sale, previously used as a living and retreat centre, and with outbuilding suitable for further development.

 

Rev Noel Lockyer-Stevens has written movingly about his recent trek in Nepal during which he placed prayer flags and recited words for world peace contributed by ministers.

 

We hope to place the next order for Minister Photo ID Badges early in 2012. If you would like to order one, please complete and return the order form now (login required).

 

Thank you to everyone who applied for the various roles associated with the Profiling Initiative. It is taking a little time to review all the proposals, and we should be in contact with everyone in the next few days. A fuller report will follow in January.
