Community Reflection: Lateral awareness
spirals

In genuinely oral, indigenous cultures, the sensuous world itself remains the dwelling place of the gods, of the numinous powers that can either sustain or extinguish human life. It is not by sending his awareness out beyond the natural world that the shaman makes contact with the purveyors of life and health, nor by journeying into his personal psyche; rather it is by propelling his awareness laterally, outward into the depths of a landscape at once both sensuous and psychological, the living dream that we share with the soaring hawk, the spider, and the stone silently sprouting lichens on its course surface. (From The Spell of the Sensuous by David Abram)

Greetings!

Thank you for your prayers and support during the past week for all that is manifesting at this time.  There is a great deal of energy at work within us and around us, and a great deal to be held.  As student groups, and other groups meet for the last time in the current year, our thoughts are with you.

Blessings from Lindsay, Nicola, Danielle and Tim
Supervision training 2011
Candles

We are repeating the highly successful training and accreditation for supervisors this autumn.  This programme is led by Robin Shohet from the Centre for Supervision and Team Development where it has been running for many years.  The programme is tailored for interfaith ministers and equips you to both supervise other ministers and students and enable you to offer professional supervision to other groups and organisations.  Places on the programme are strictly limited.  The programme runs over six days, including a 4-night residential element.  Bookings are now being accepted.  Please click the link for more information and a booking form for this very successful post-graduate course.
