Community Reflection

Tagore

green man

Let all the strains of joy mingle in my last song - the joy that makes the earth flow over in the riotous excess of the grass, the joy that sets the twin brothers, life and death, dancing over the wide world, the joy that sweeps in with the tempest, shaking and waking all life with laughter, the joy that sits still with its tears on the open red lotus of pain, and the joy that throws everything it has upon the dust, and knows not a word.
(Rabindranath Tagore)

iConnect
Issue 114 : 7 May 2011
Greetings!
Were you there?  In person or in spirit? There are so many images, memories and sensations from Convocation 2011 at Findhorn: fabulous sunshine ... the warmth of the welcome ... the theme of Celebrating our Differences ... the diverse weaving of the holding team ... Scottish country dancing ... devotional singing ... coracles ... celtic chanting ... Robin Shohet ... Osama bin Laden's death ... Robin Alfred ... Taize ... dancing green men ... bonfires ... meditations ... corracle ... fish and chips ... interconnecting webs ... laughter ... nature ... saying the unsayable ... honouring ... brunch ... and endless sunshine under a big blue sky!
This week, we try to give you a flavour of it all and invite you to follow the links to read and see more.
Blessings from Lindsay, Nicola, Danielle and Tim

Beltane celebrationThere is a full report about Convocation on the website, including poetry, commentary and experiences from those who attended. You are welcome to add your own Comments to this page.

Two people who have passed on recently were honoured: Rabbi Joseph Gelbermann, a founder of the interfaith seminary movement; and David Pilkington, a quiet supporter of the Sacred Space Foundation and of several student ministers.

And you can see an extensive photo gallery of images from this year's gathering at Findhorn.

We're still inviting a host team to step forward to convene Convocation 2012 in a location near you! Please get in touch if you feel inspired.
