Vision and Hearing Screenings
Vision and hearing screenings for Preschool through First Grade students, Eighth Grade students and all new students will take place on Friday, September 28. You may also request a screening for your child by contacting Georgette Koelker at gkoelker@St.AnnesSchool.org

                  


Half Day AEP, After Care and Club Ed 
Club Ed will be available for the half days when parent conferences are scheduled: Middle School only on Wednesday, Oct 10, and for all students on Thursday, Oct. 11. Club Ed runs from noon dismissal until 3:15 p.m.

Students who are in Club Ed may go to After Care from 3:10 until 6:00 p.m. if they are registered. Please note that our Afternoon Enrichment Program (AEP) for Preschool and Prekindergarten students is not offered on conference days.

Please e-mail  gkoelker@St.AnnesSchool.org to reserve your spot in Club Ed. Cost is $20. Deadline for reservations and cancellation is Friday Oct. 5.

                  


Save the Date: Fairy Tales with Friends, Thursday, October 18 
Save the date for our annual Parents Association "Fair Tales with Friends." Early Childhood and Kindergarten friends are invited to come back to school and enjoy an evening of reading our favorite books. Don't forget to wear your pajamas! 

                  


SustainaFest Annapolis Kick Off Event 
View "Films Inspire A Sustainability Revolution" Saturday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. on the St. John's College campus. The event will feature many award-winning films focused on community empowerment, the human spirit, adventure, environmental stewardship and more! A great way to unwind after our Strategic Planning Retreat!

The Ways We Want To Be: Lower School Students Share Class Guidelines at Morning Meeting

Last week at Morning Meeting, our Lower School students shared their class guidelines or "ways to be." Developing these guidelines or rules are a central part of the Responsive Classroom approach, which is the foundation of the social curriculum at St. Anne's School.

Parenting the Middle School Aged Child: Fostering a Bridge From Confusion to Competence
Parents are invited to attend our first Parent Eduction Workshop on Thursday, September 27 at 7 p.m. Karin Mosk, Psy.D., a child and adolescent psychologist, will present "Parenting the Middle School Aged Child: Fostering a Bridge from Confusion to Competence.  RSVP Online>>

Parents Association Lunch Program
Lunch Begins Monday, October 1 
Our lunch program will begin October 1 with the following options:
  • Mondays: Chicken Lunch or Main Ingredient
  • Tuesdays: Deliciously Nutritious  
  • Wednesdays: Taco Lunch (offered every other week) or Main Ingredient
  • Thursdays: Deliciously Nutritious
  • Fridays: Pizza Lunch
Chicken Lunch, Taco Lunch and Pizza Lunch registration was due Friday, September 21. Main Ingredient orders for the following month must be placed by the 12th. Deliciously Nutritious ordering is available online at  http://deliciouslynutritious.co/St.html. Orders can be placed on a weekly, monthly or seasonal basis.

Please mark your calendar for School Picture Day on Wednesday, October 3. Formal uniforms are required for Fourth through Eighth Grade. Forms were sent home on Tuesday. Please stop by the Front Office if you require an additional form. 

                    


Metro Diner Spirit Night
Thursday, Oct. 4 
Our next Spirit Night will be Thursday, October 4 at Metro Diner in the Annapolis Towne Centre. Dine in or take out and a portion of the proceeds will go to St. Anne's School. Don't forget to wear your St. Anne's School gear! Send a picture wearing your St. Anne's School attire to creiss@St.AnnesSchool.org and we'll enter you into a raffle to win a $20 Metro Diner gift card!

Scholastic Book Fair
Tuesday, Oct. 9 - Friday, Oct. 12 
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be from Tuesday, October 9 to Friday,October 12, with a preview day on Monday for teachers. Stop by during conferences to shop the Book Fair!

During the Book Fair, we also hold our One for Books fundraiser. Loose change can be dropped into the collection box in the front hall. Our the money we raise goes directly to our school library and Scholastic matches the money we raise with a donation to non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids and families in need.
