St. Anne's School Online
Seventh and Eighth Grade Humanities Teacher Kimberly Reddy recently co-authored an article in Perspectives on History, which is published by the American Historical Association. The article, "The End of History Education in Elementary Schools?" identifies the shortcomings of historical education in some settings. However, Kim is happy to note that "St. Anne's School allows me to do what the research says needs to be done in my classroom."

From the Welcome Committee
Editor's Note: Each month we'll be featuring a different committee from our Parents Association in the Constellation. We look forward to sharing with the different voices that make up the PA!

Our St. Anne's School Parents Association Welcome Committee was excited to welcome 57 new students into our community this summer.Through a network of existing (and alumni) families, the PA reaches out by making phone calls and hosting get-togethers to help both parents and students get acquainted and start to feel a part of our St. Anne's School  family before the first day of school. Room Parents and Parent Liaisons
Parents are an important part of our school community and provide support in so many valuable ways.  Each year we ask parents to volunteer to be a Room Parent.  We will continue to ask for this support  taken on by parents who have much to offer.  However, we are expanding this role with new responsibilities and a new title of Parent Liaison who will work as an arm of the PA.  The Parent Liaison will continue to organize class celebrations, guide class auction projects, and provide support for specific class needs.  Acting as the conduit for listening to and informing parents about our school and sharing parent information and ideas with the school is an important expansion to this role.
