Field Research Far and Wide

In the last two weeks our Middle School students traveled to New York City, Washington DC, Jamestown and Williamsburg, and Worton, MD to delve into research and experiences that deepen their understanding of concepts and themes they've been studying throughout the year.

At the Newseum in DC, our Eighth Graders got an first hand look at how freedom of speech contributes to democracy, a theme they've been studying all year.

In New York, Seventh Graders gained perspective into humans rights issues by visiting the United Nations as well as the Museum of Tolerance.

Sixth Graders capped off their study of environmental science with a hands-on trip to Echo Hill Outdoor Education Center.

Our Fifth Grade class has been studying early Native Americans in our region, and with their visit to Jamestown and Williamsburg, the class got to see their studies come to life.
