Hyde Park, NY - September 29, 2011 - Each year, more than 15,000 children and 15,000 adults, approximately 80 people per day are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in the U.S. according to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). September 23-25, 2011, Craig Thomas Pest Control partnered with Cumulus Media Station, WPDH for the 28th Annual Craig Thomas Pest Control Roof-a-thon to raise money for JDRF.
"Craig Thomas Pest Control was thrilled to be the major sponsor for this event for the second year in a row," said Craig Thomas, President of Craig Thomas Pest Control. "Part of our company's mission, is to support the local community and important causes. Some of our employees' children are affected by Juvenile Diabetes, so participating in this event really hits home, said Thomas." During the three days, Roof-a-thon raised thirty thousand dollars for JDRF.
JDRF is the worldwide leader for research to cure type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. JDRF sets the global agenda for diabetes research, and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide.
